The one-day flower or Hemerocallis fulva is a rhizomatous herbaceous plant with thickened roots from Europe, which is part of the Liliaceae family . Its leaves are 60 cm long by 3 cm wide. Its flowers are orange, 7-12 centimeters long, gathered in number of 6-10. It blooms from late spring to early fall.

It prefers a moderately fertile soil with good drainage, and an intense luminosity with direct sunlight, the morning and shade in the afternoon. It only tolerates mild frosts.

Water every 5 days in summer and cold in winter. Fertilize with 200 grams of bone meal per square meter of flowerbed in spring. It propagates by division of the bush in the fall and spring and performs the pruning of faded flowers.

Ajuga

The Ajuga is a perennial herbaceous plant, stoloniferous, up to 0.20 meters high in Europe, which is part of the Labiadas family . Its leaves are simple, elliptical, 7 to 10 cm long, and its flowers are white, blue or purple, gathered in inflorescences. It blooms from spring to early fall.

Prefers undemanding soil; it does not thrive in waterlogged soil, and an orientation in full sun and also in shady places. Tolerates up to – 3 ° C.

Water every 23 days in spring and summer; 45 days in autumn and winter. It propagates by planting in spring and dividing the bush in autumn. Renew the soil every two years and change the pot in spring every year.

Garden poppy

The garden poppy is an 80 cm tall annual herbaceous plant from Europe and Asia, part of the papaveraceae family . Its leaves are lobed, arranged in a rosette and its flowers are red, white, orange, single or double with dark spots at the base, 6 cm in diameter. It blooms in spring-summer.

It prefers a loose and fertile soil and a sunny position. Tolerates mild frosts. Water moderately, every 4 days. Fertilize with 200 grams of bone meal per square meter of flowerbed. Propagate by direct sowing in early fall. It does not resist transplantation.
