Green first aid kit: Aloe vera gel and diced calendula for burns

The Aloe vera or aloe is undoubtedly one of the best natural remedies to soothe and regenerate the skin . On the other hand, calendula has great healing, softening and moisturizing power for the skin. The combination of aloe vera and calendula becomes an effective and natural home remedy in our green medicine cabinet for when we get burned.

These cubes will be of great help in cases of sunburn, when we burn with oil, water, or burns of any other type. This remedy will help the skin to regenerate quickly and will prevent scarring, inflammation or even infection.

You need:

  • 2 leaves of aloe vera (you can also find organic aloe vera pulp )
  • 4 fresh calendula flowers ( calendula officinalis )
  • 16 drops of lavender essential oil

Preparation of gel for burns:

  1. Peel the aloe vera leaves: first wash them well and then cut the edges first and then make a longitudinal cut dividing the leaves in two and scoop out the gel with a spoon.
  2. Put the aloe gel and the calendula flowers in a blender and beat until everything is well mixed
  3. Pour the resulting gel into an ice tray and add a drop of lavender oil to each cube and put it in the freezer.

How to use gel for burns:

Simply remove one of the cubes from the freezer and apply directly to the affected area. Use as many as needed.

These cubes will last you in the freezer for 6 months in perfect condition.
