The Maca ( Lepidium meyenii ) is an annual herbaceous plant native to the Andes cultivated for over 2000 years in Bolivia and Peru for their medicinal properties and nutritional.

For its medicinal properties, the root of maca is used , of which four types are known that differ in the colors they have and that range from cream to light pink, purple and black. This root has been used for centuries to prevent and combat conditions that affect health of all kinds in a natural way.

Nutritional properties of Maca root (Lepidium meyenii)

This root has 60% carbohydrates, as well as 7 of the 8 essential amino acids (vegetable protein),  vitamins such as B1, B2, B6, C, E, minerals such as iron, magnesium, iodine, calcium, zinc, phosphorus , potassium and silicon, macamides (fatty acids) and phytosterols ( antioxidants ).

It is recommended to take it in the morning due to the energy it provides and its vitalizing effect.
