It is a species that can be grown better in the ground, since for a pot it must be very large.

Watering must be abundant in hot weather. Now that if the sun is very strong, it can be sprayed over the leaves. Do not water with hard or alkaline water, it is best with rainwater.

It does not require pruning, only a cut to shape it. In addition, it is convenient that those flower buds that wither are removed to guarantee an abundant flowering in the following season.

The compost should be special for azalea, rhododendrons and camellias. It must even be rich in nitrogen combined with equal parts of potassium and iron-enriched phosphorus.

It can be multiplied by seeds, layers, cuttings or grafts.
