Caring for Narcissus triandus

It lives in meadows, forests, bushes, and rocky landings. It can be used either outdoors or in pots indoors.

It grows in full light but is able to tolerate shade. Although if placed in a place with too much sun, the petals turn translucent. The heat must be moderate so that it can develop vigorously.

It requires mild temperatures, but tolerates those that are low in addition to frost.

As for the earth, it must be mixed with sand and peat so that the substrate is very light and soft.

The compost should be annual with very decomposed mulch a month before flowering.

You should not overdo the watering. In fact, the amount of water must be sufficient to keep the ground moderately, but never wet.

Pruning should be done for a month when the flower has withered.

It is multiplied by division of bulbs. But in terms of transplants it can be very sensitive, so it is not highly recommended.

It is a plant resistant to all kinds of diseases. However, when it comes to seabirds and nutria (they eat the bulbs) they can be a threat. As regards rotting of the bulbs, it can occur in soils that are poorly drained.

A plant that speaks for itself, so if you already have that space in the garden, do not hesitate to choose this beautiful specimen that will give the perfect touch. Do you know it? Do you like it? Tell us your experience to continue sharing in this community of Garden Center Ejea.
