Spray sprinkler systems

Spray sprinkler systems are ideal for use in small spaces that require a high concentration of water in a short time, such as flower beds, shrubs or grass . The percentage of water leaving spray sprinklers varies a lot from system to system, but on average it leaves about 4 to 4.5 centimeters per hour. There are two types of spray sprinklers:

Those of the pop-up type: it is a system installed underground that is connected through a system of pipes. When the time comes to water a garden , a piston emerges from the soil under water pressure that will distribute the water in an equitable way across the lawn. When watering is finished, the sprinkler is camouflaged on the lawn again.

Rotor sprinkler systems

Rotor sprinkler systems turn on themselves and do not have a static or fixed-angle application like spray sprinklers. Rotor heads are very useful for covering large areas of grass , such as football pitches, public parks or golf courses. The percentage of water output from rotor sprinklers is considerably less than that of spray sprinklers – an average of 1.5 to 2 centiliters per hour. Rotor sprinkler systems are classified as follows:

Impact rotor sprinklers: this is a rotating system that consists of a swing arm. The rotation of the sprinkler is due to the impact of the swing arm on the water jet, which allows to irrigate an entire area in an equitable way. This system is widely used in agriculture.

Gear rotor sprinklers: this model rotates thanks to the effect of a gear turbine that moves when water passes through it, resulting in the rotation of the sprinkler. This is one of the most popular and used rotor sprinklers in the world.

Ball rotor sprinklers: this model has a function very similar to that of gears, but with the particularity of using spheres that move when water passes through them, which allows the rotation of the sprinkler.

Drip sprinkler systems

Drip sprinkler systems are typically used to ensure that watering is done for specific plants or in certain growing areas. The percentage of water leaking from drip sprinklers varies widely – on average about 2 to 90 liters of water per hour. Drip systems are in the form of tubes or hoses with small holes through which water is poured directly into the soil. It should be noted that drip sprinkler systems have two distinct advantages over the others. Are they:
