Magnolia flowers

Flowers and occasions

The opportunities that our daily life to share emotions with the people we know are now many; it must be said that compared to thirty (and more) years ago, we have many more things to celebrate, share, wish, etc. In fact, these are two fundamental reasons that led to this change compared to the time of our parents and grandparents (even more): first of all, life has changed and in fact we have another lifestyle, where by this term we mean that the way of thinking, of spending free time, of approaching friends and relatives has also changed. Not only that, everything is also the result of marketing, of the merciless advertising that companies do: in fact, every extra party is an extra commercial income, therefore it is obvious that the Halloween party (typically American) has landed in Europe and it is equally obvious that the Carnival (typical party of Catholic origin) has started from Italy and is being distributed all over the world with its colors and its vivacity. In every occasion mentioned (but also in all the others) there are flowers: they are a perfect gift, loved by everyone, not overly expensive and above all capable of not disfiguring in any type of occasion.

Flowering plants

But flowers are not just a means with which to make a wish, a congratulation or something else, but they are a real gift that nature has given us in the first place: they are cheerful, colorful, fragrant and bring joy to every place where we place them, that’s why we always try to surround ourselves with every flower species we love. To do this, however, so that the effect lasts more than a few days, those who can afford to have a balcony or even a garden plant flowering plants: with the proper care and attention they deserve, these plants know how to furnish gardens, balconies and terraces like few other things in the world, giving a touch of color and vitality that especially helps our daily mood. It is scientifically proven that nature has a great influence on our mood, due to the fact that in it and thanks to it we have grown and evolved, therefore an intrinsic link with it is hidden among our genes. In a garden, a flowering plant helps aesthetics, but above all creates a relaxing and colorful environment, in which to indulge in perfumes (almost all flowers have a characteristic scent).

Magnolia blossoms

The magnolia is a genus of plants native to the American continent and some Asian regions; in it there are approximately eighty species of species, which can be roughly divided into tree species and shrub species. All, however, are characterized by a fairly slow growth, but so prolonged that some specimens even reach heights of twenty meters. The morphological characteristics of the Magnolia plant (whose name derives from a French botanist and scientist named Magnol, one of the founding fathers of botany) tell us that it can have both perennial and deciduous leaves, however arranged alternately on the remains and by the constitution quite stiff, as well as an intensely green color. At the apex of the branches that support these leaves there are large and colorful flowers with an inverted bell shape, with about ten petals (in reality they are petaloids, that is, they are both petals and sepals, as there is no distinction between these two parts of a flower ), very colorful and above all fragrant. Their interior has many stamens, prominent and with a yellow head ready to inseminate (and often dirty) whatever it comes to touch.

Magnolia flowers: cultivation and gift

Magnolia plants are very common in our territory also because they adapt well both to the composition of the soil and to the climate that they can find there. In particular, the regions of Northern Italy have the perfect habitat for magnolia: exposure to the sun not direct but in half shade, slightly acid soil and normal air humidity. However, the magnolia manifests an excellent adaptability to various climatic situations, therefore it grows very well both in the Italian islands, in Southern Italy and in other regions of Europe with different climates. Not only that, its spring flower is one of the most popular gifts in the field of flowers: it usually comes with a strong fuchsia color slightly mottled with white that gives elegance but also a nice touch of liveliness. which never hurts to adapt the flower to every occasion. Given its large size, the magnolia flower is rarely given as a gift alone but often nestled in a bouquet of smaller flowers in lighter shades such as light pink. The magnolia, due to the resistance and adaptability already mentioned, can be donated without problems even as a small potted plant; kept at home for the first time, it then needs to be repotted outside in order to develop its qualities and not perish (inside the house it would happen). it can also be donated as a small potted plant without problems; kept at home for the first time, it then needs to be repotted outside in order to develop its qualities and not perish (inside the house it would happen). it can also be donated as a small potted plant without problems; kept at home for the first time, it then needs to be repotted outside in order to develop its qualities and not perish (inside the house it would happen).
