The reason is obvious: the harmony that is breathed around a fire that cooks excellent food together with loved ones, relatives or friends, is something that is increasingly rare to find by other means, while it is very easy with the barbecue. The models with which the barbecue enters the world market today are many; this thing seems unjustified because in fact the barbecue has a simple purpose and it seems strange that there are so many shapes to then always end up cooking meat and sausages on a heat source. On the other hand, however, we have already mentioned the global diffusion of the barbecue, so the various models have been created to satisfy the tastes and needs not only of the various personalities of a people (which would still be many), but also of several peoples; for this reason, in fact, there is a choice between materials, shapes and obviously also between dimensions. Finally, there is the presence of accessories on request, which in automotive jargon are called “optionals”, a word that gives a good idea, given that today there is a great rush to personalize objects, however, of a globalized mold. There is another thing to say about the origin of the barbecue; the first barbecues, those born in America a few decades ago, were almost totally self-built. In fact, the Americans of the time obtained their braziers from iron bins in which an opening was made to store the grill, or they built them with bricks, or they indulged themselves with brilliant ideas to get them even from the hoods of old cars ( classic barbecue scene in the front hood of an old Beetle). Today, however, everything is mass-produced or almost, and even the barbecue is designed and produced in large numbers, even if many companies are keen on the fact that the external appearance of their barbecues (especially in the cases of those built in masonry) is not so perfect that it looks the same as the others. But is it better to buy it or build our barbecue? Well, you can easily imagine how a built barbecue gives greater satisfaction to the master-builder, but for this operation a great dose of patience is required as well as a little practicality and familiarity with lime, bricks and shovels. While the purchase solution is certainly faster, but also economically more expensive.

The cost of building a barbecue should generally be less than buying a similar model; However, there is some possible imperfection to be included (unless we are perfect), which can often be a sign of beauty. Obviously the greatest expense is in time and energy, which can be bloody for those with little patience or objectively little free time. In this case the only solution is the purchase in specialized shops.
