Passionflower is a very common plant in European gardens, due to its charm and its large bright colored flowers. The mother tincture is a particular herbal product obtained from the areas of the plant richest in active ingredients: the aim is to be able to fully exploit all the beneficial properties of the plant without the final product causing heavy contraindications or an overly aggressive effect towards the ‘body. The mother tincture is obtained through a process of extraction of the active ingredients contained in the areas of the plant and in particular of the younger ones, as they are usually the richest, through the use of an alcoholic solvent. The preparation of this product is subjected, as is the case for other herbal preparations on the market, to rigorous controls and must respond to precise percentages of compositional elements: the drug must have a ratio of one to ten with the solvent. Among the advantages of the mother tincture there is also the long conservation: kept at room temperature, the preparation is kept in a closed container for a period of time equal to five years.

For others, it will be sufficient to ensure the absence of allergic reactions to the plant from which the finished product is extracted. The use of passionflower mother tincture can also occur in conjunction with other drugs, however it is good to consult your doctor to avoid excessive dosages: if taken with drugs of similar purpose and composition, the combination of the two could give rise to side effects and nullify the benefits of the mother tincture.
