Wells

Introduction

The irrigation system is one of the fundamental devices for the correct maintenance of the garden and its plants. Through a series of suitable accessories, the system allows the plants and the soil to be watered periodically, ensuring the right amount of water in the hottest periods of the year or when rainwater is scarce or lacking. Due to its specific aesthetic characteristics, one of the most used systems in the garden is the underground one, that is, the one composed of devices that are hidden underground. In this type of system, pipes, taps, solenoid valves and sprinklers are hidden under the surface of the lawn or the ground, so as to be invisible to the human eye, but perfectly operational. On the outside, the owners of the garden will only see magnificent sprays of water that from time to time and regularly, will water the various plant species grown within the green space. But how to check the proper functioning of the irrigation devices if they are hidden in the ground? Simple: using the wells.

Description

The wells are boxes, or rather enclosures, in which some elements of the irrigation system are placed, including solenoid valves, control units and taps. These are devices which are in turn buried, but which can be opened to allow periodic control and regular maintenance of the various system devices, which would not be easily observable if placed directly on the ground. The wells, therefore, even if they are not the fundamental elements in an underground irrigation system, are nevertheless very useful devices to allow the regular control of the other elements of the same system. On the market there are many types of garden wells, with shapes, materials and colors designed to withstand particular external conditions.

Features

As already mentioned in the previous paragraph, the wells are used to house the main components of the irrigation system. Given the high availability of models, it is not difficult to choose the right wells for your system and your garden. Generally, the same company specialized in the construction of the system takes care of the arrangement of the wells, but it is good that the owners know carefully the measures, shapes, colors and dimensions of the wells, so as not to end up with enclosures poor durability and with an aesthetic appearance not exactly pleasant. The wells can be circular or rectangular in shape. The circular ones are used to house taps and other small components of the garden system, while the rectangular ones are used to house more complex or full-bodied devices, such as control units and solenoid valves. The wells are also equipped with a lid, known as a manhole cover. The materials in which the wells are made are different, generally they are thermoplastic and non-toxic materials, able to resist the action of frost and UV rays.

Circular wells

The circular wells are used to guard the taps of the underground irrigation system and to camouflage them from an aesthetic point of view. In fact, in an underground system, keeping the taps outdoors would risk not only permanently ruining the aesthetic appearance of the garden, but also damaging the taps themselves due to oxidation caused by external agents. The wells for the garden taps are equipped with the connection necessary to screw the system tap. For example, there are also wells designed to place butterfly valves with 3/4 connection. The diameter of these wells is about twenty five centimeters. These accessories are sold complete with lid and tap, to be placed directly on the lawn. With these wells it will be possible to have an external water intake without the need to deface the aesthetic effect of the green space. The circular wells can also be used to house solenoid valves or electrical cable harnesses. All the wells, regardless of their use, are equipped with a lid, often green, which camouflages itself on the lawn so as to be practically invisible. The diameter of the circular wells varies according to the devices that can be stored there. On the market, in fact, there are wells with a minimum diameter of 24 centimeters, up to a maximum of 33 centimeters. they are equipped with a cover, often green in color, which camouflages itself on the lawn so as to be practically invisible.
