The furnished garden

The home garden is a particular place in one’s home which is very important for many people; it is no coincidence that more and more families decide to make some additional sacrifices to that of buying or building a house, as long as they can have the privilege of a small dedicated garden. To many it still seems inexplicable this trend, but in reality it is dictated by the now inalienability to have a “refuge”, a personal and inaccessible place to others in which to free themselves from the stress, anxieties and negative thoughts that daily life inculcates. In fact, the garden is seen as that paradise that you can’t wait to reach when you are in the car or bus on the way home from work: there you turn off your mobile phone, sit in a comfortable rocking chair, you can enjoy the company of the family and that little corner of healthy nature that we have decided to recreate around us. To make this really happen we need to furnish this space with care, in order to make it “our” garden, or to make it correspond to our tastes and to those dreams and nocturnal projects (because they are often conceived at night when sleep just doesn’t want to come) that anyone who is going to buy a garden certainly has.

Furnish with the pergola

The idea of owning a garden near home, even if the trend is very evident only in recent years, is actually not recent at all; perhaps, however, years ago something else was preferred because the economic resources were not many, even if instead those of space were also overabundant (unlike today, an era dictated by concrete everywhere). Obviously, therefore, a certain trade has been developing around garden furnishings for quite a few years: this phase of their construction is the most interesting, because it determines the final appearance of the garden, but it is also the longest, because it can also last for… the entire life of the owner and the garden! Yes, because those who own a garden very often do nothing but constantly improve it, changing a small detail every week with another that strikes him the most, and then transforming it slightly but consistently over time. Recently the pergola has emerged from the furniture industry, a light and simple construction used to furnish external corners, such as the space between the door of the house and the beginning of the garden, or terraces on the upper or even lower floors, or to furnish corners. of any garden.

Features of the arbor

We defined in the previous paragraph what a pergola is and what its main function is; well, it is all the rage in this precise era, because it has a romantic and elegant “nonsochè”, combined with a touch of naturalness given by the construction material used most often, namely wood. In reality, the materials with which it is possible to build pergolas are various and potentially infinite, but both for costs and for convenience and custom, we are basically limited to two categories: woods and metals. Woods are the most used material precisely for the “nature” effect that they manage to give to everything, as well as for their ability to blend well with any type of garden; metals, on the other hand, above all steel, are used to give a more modern and hi-tech touch to the pergola, perhaps in combination with the already similar aesthetics of the house. A constructive feature of the pergola is that it does not have a roof, that is, it does not have the cover in the original invoice of this outdoor furniture. This feature seems inexplicable and strange, but in reality it has its reason for existing if we think of the outdoor effect that the pergola wants to have, that is, in full contact with nature.

Wooden roofing

Although we have just specified that the pergola does not have any type of cover, this does not exclude that a cover can be placed; this fact is justified by the consideration that each piece of furniture can be modified and transformed to perfectly coincide with what we think and design in our mind. And so a cover for our pergola can make us enjoy the coolness of a summer drizzle away from the water itself but still outdoors and immersed in our garden, or it can shelter us from the evening humidity if we love to spend the evenings outdoors. is open and not closed in the house. On the other hand, however, maybe a cover can prevent us from the sun when the day is beautiful and clear, but not for everyone this is an inconvenience and above all this too can be remedied with particular structures and mechanisms such as electrically movable roofs (obviously such a solution requires specialized labor and a certain additional financial commitment). However, the most used material for pergola coverings is wood: properly treated and reinforced it can both resist atmospheric agents that could degrade it and can guarantee a certain safety in structural stability.
