Wooden verandas

Garden-home link

Many ordinary people very often sacrifice a large part of their life and the proceeds of their work activities to one day, even in old age, to have a garden near their home, whether this involves the purchase of unused land near the house. own, and whether this means completely changing residence to move or build a house that also includes a garden. This has various reasons, to be analyzed absolutely to be able to understand what drives many people to sacrifices that are often very strenuous for all of this – first of all we need to distinguish the cases according to the age of the “protagonists”, let’s say; in case we find a family that is still young enough, well then the main reasons will certainly be an extra and different place for children to play and a place away from asphalt and computers to relax after work. On the other hand, in the case in which we are faced with elderly people and perhaps already retired, it is exclusively a question of wanting to return to a remnant of life of the past, with the most direct relationship with nature that can also help to keep active if you are retired. In any case, the relationship that binds the garden of the house with the house itself and with those who live there is something really strong, which can only be understood by trying it; in fact, every garden owner takes care of it to the utmost and with great commitment. it is exclusively a question of wanting to return to a remnant of a life of the past, with the most direct relationship with nature which can also help to keep active if you are retired. The manic cure

For those who watch people «waste» their free time with boots on their feet and spade in hand making ditches in the garden, moving benches, plugging holes, mowing the grass and doing other typical activities of personal garden maintenance and they just can’t understand the reason for all this, we don’t know how to say anything other than «poor things»; obviously we do not want to offend anyone, especially since if you have never tried it you cannot really understand what it feels like, but the garden activity is really relaxing for the mind, rewarding and satisfying for self-esteem, so it’s really good ! It is a real maniacal care: you never stop working, but not because it is tiring, but because the garden offers you a different starting point every day to focus on, a corner to improve, the entrance to furnish. It is no coincidence that in the large shops dedicated to DIY and bricolage that we can often find around the widespread shopping centers, it is increasingly common to find people who are there to look: they do not buy anything, maybe they go away without an envelope … but with smile on the lips and a thinking look. Well, these are the hallmarks of garden owners who went to those shops for a cue, an idea, something that could inspire them in the continuous improvement of their garden.

Furnish with verandas

The concept of furniture referring to a garden near the house may sound strange; usually it is not a space to fill, because there are plants and many other possibilities, and not even to close, as its main feature (and value) is to offer a healthy, personal, always present breath of fresh air. So what does decorating a garden mean? It can mean a lot, but recently this phrase is taking on a particular meaning that leads to pergolas, pergolas, canopies and verandas. All these objects listed above are elements of garden furniture whose purpose is to create closed spaces … but open. Strange yes, but in reality these are really places that often have neither an airtight cover nor side walls, but who reserve corners of the garden for more particular purposes. A recent classic are verandas, increasingly transferred from large balconies to interludes between home and garden.

Wooden verandas

The veranda was born as a closure of corners of large balconies to reserve and create a place to store fruit, vegetables, some clothes to dry and above all to feel outside the home but protected from the external weather. It was from this concept that we started to equip the gardens with verandas: just create with light and simple wooden beams structures well fixed to the walls and to the ground, possible both to be closed completely or not, to be furnished as every taste commands and free for anyone. This is a classic wooden veranda as a basic concept; well, all this is becoming an increasingly common practice, and also goes to slightly confuse itself with pergolas and garden sheds, with perhaps the subtle differences that the veranda, due to its own characteristics, describes a more sheltered and «closed» space outside. The construction with a noble and natural material such as wood guarantees both a great aesthetic success, certainly in full harmony with the garden, and a good structural result and durability over time; obviously you need to have quality wood and also competent technicians to install it, if we don’t have the right dexterity and propensity to do it yourself in the garden.
