Plants that self-plant every year

Just as bulbs give us flowers every year, there are plants that self-plant themselves. The good thing is that with them you can achieve informal gardens. Another advantage of self- seeded plants is that you will save a great deal of money.

Some of the annual plants that are self-seeded are the California poppy , marigold, and cornflower. Also daisy, impatiens balsamina, jalapa mirabilis, wild poppy, silk button, gypsophila, Brazilian verbena, and Irish bells.

Most of the flowers that are self-seeded tend to opt for a loose soil, but some will manage to break through without any inconvenience by means of mulches. In addition to these annuals there are others such as Nigella damascena, commonly known as spider mite, which can be very invasive if you do not control it. In that case you can remove the excesses in such a way that they have enough space to be able to develop properly.

How to plant flowers that are self-sowing?

  • To start with the colony of plants that are self-seeded , you will have to wait for the frosts to pass to begin with the initial planting.
  • Loosen an inch of soil and remove weeds.
  • Mix the seeds with a little sand in a jar and shake.
  • Spread the sand in the place you have designated for planting.
  • Sprinkle some substrate. Rake gently and water.

Self- planting plants are those that are planted by themselves. So if you are lazy, these plants are perfect for you because you will have nothing else to do than distribute them on the ground. The wind and birds can even carry the seeds, so self-sowing plants can appear anywhere in the garden.
